  • Dinner with friends in London – wonderful collection of guests incl ex UK Ambassador to US who is giving Iraq enquiry evidence. #
  • Got embroilled in Face Book row with US folk on MicheleObama's beautiful gown.Much fear-fuelled,Fox news-style nastiness out there #
  • Last night's Thanksgiving dinner-the best conceivable meal.Chef from Caprice.Top level conversation with John Tusa and other stars! #
  • Crazy, kinda historic weekend ahead. Next week- conducting 3 concerts and MUCH MORE:) #
  • Tim Dowling always makes me laugh out loud at least once o a Saturday morning. (Guardian weekend) #

  • Off now to rehearse Queens's Chapel choir for Dove Into Thy Hands which I'm conducting for Memorial at weekend #
  • Enjoyed dinner last night we hosted for our Physics Ellmy Eugene, lovely, clever Mardi from John's research group… #
  • … and lovely Greek friends,Thanos and Salvina Skouros,our hosts in Mikonos.Big discussion re my ARK CITY ACADEMY scholarship choir… #
  • …despite marginal number of muslim students, I am not allowed to use "devotional" music… #
  • …which means the non muslim children are to be denied the greatest of all choral music in my one year prog… #
  • …ie NO Bach, NO Palestrina. NO monteverdi, NO Handel. NO Byrd or Tallis etc. etc. etc. We are denying them access to.. #
  • ..mankind's greatest achievements. Like going to a Gallery,forbidding access to Michelangelo,Titian,ALL Medieval/Renaissance ART.. #
